When you make a meme every time you click on it, then it will show a view, before it's featured. if you click on it and open it a 100 times before it features it will show a hundred views.. true story. :)

i thought there had to be something new on the page for it to actually count like a comment, or something along those lines. because i've never seen the numbers actually go up when i've opened memes repeatedly before

Next time you make one try it. right after you make it open it 10 times. then when they update views which is every 15 minutes it will show 10 :)

This is not entirely accurate. It is possible to have a meme get viewed 9 times before it gets featured, without posting a link to it or clicking on it yourself. It happens when the admins view it before it gets featured. Normally when it is more than 5 views before featured, it is because it is a custom template and they have viewed it that many times before approving it. I have even had a meme get a few views and an upvote before it gets featured.

yeah, normally i get 2-5 views on something. pretty sure this was my meme with the "bring out your dead" template though, which while not overly popular, is one featured on here

There seems to be a pattern on Sundays of more views than normal. For some weird reason, I had 18 views prior to featuring on two Sundays in a row. Training mods?
