To be fair, though, that chart looks like legal requirements. I think Obama had in mind the ability for teenagers in bad neighborhoods to get their hands on illegal guns easily.

But if he meant the phrase to be exaggeration for effect, it was way too much - it comes across as absurd and ridiculous.

Wow, glad I don't live in California. Here in Texas, you just show an ID and you get a gun. Although, that's if you buy a gun at a gun show.

I just bought my first gun (not California) and submitted for a background check. Approved in about 10 minutes. CCW requires a test. I know it's not that way in all states.

At first I was thinking maybe the people making fun of him were being too hard on him. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and think he was just using the phrase as a figure of speech, for effect.

But the more I thought about it, and the context, the more it bothered me. So I decided to make a meme with my thoughts on it.

Hmmm. All of the students in my school district will get Chromebooks for this upcoming school year. And I know that my district is well behind many other school districts in providing pcs for students. And last I checked, my town still has a public library. Thanks to our tax dollars.
