Lol, this meme is really ironic because Reagan's foreign policy played a huge part in creating the problem today. He literally armed and funded the group that would eventually become Al-Qaeda.

It's also important to note that Operation Cyclone that you are referencing was begun under Jimmy Carter. It was pushed by Texas congressman Charlie Wilson, also a democrat. I guess it would be fair to say that supporting the mujahideen was a bipartisan effort.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. It's just like FDR and Truman supporting "Uncle Joe" Stalin and the Soviet Union. We had a common enemy, the Nazis, when the war was over we fought the Soviets for over 50 years. Reagan supported the mujahideen against a common enemy, USSR, and now we are fighting the mujahideen. This is a common theme throughout history.
