Yep, there were a lot of episodes that were the basis for later movies if you think about it.
There was one with a doll called Talking Tina that came alive and killed the evil stepfather. It starred Telly Savalas. It reminds me of "Chucky".
There was another one where this old woman was being harassed by tiny aliens, another one that Spielberg turned into a movie.
I also saw an old episode of "The Outer Limits" that Stephen King practically lifted scene for scene in his book "The Langoliers".
