There's no such thing as gun violence, just violent people with guns.
Interesting fact about US gun violence is that 2/3 of people who die by firearms are people who commit suicide.
The vast majority of firearm deaths are also using handguns and are concentrated mainly in urban areas with drug/gang problems but hey let's keep pushing the agenda. Ban all guns like Britain even though we have more guns in civilian hands than most countries' militaries. We are also landlocked with two other huge countries, unlike Britain or Australia.
The USA is not a tiny island and with the number of guns here it's statistically impossible to pick them up even if it wouldn't cause a civil war. Hint: It would.
