The Curse of Cleveland sports not having won a championship since 1964 when the Cleveland Browns beat the Baltimore Colts in the 1964 NFL Championship. Since then, Cleveland fans suffered through, The Drive, The Fumble, Red Right 88, The Mesa, etc,. As a result of those heartaches, the theme has been Wait Til Next Year. Yesterday, when the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in 7 games, Waiting Til Next year officially died. Yet, the greatest memory I will always have is, that its hardships have made yesterday's victory all the more special and memorable for long suffering, yet dedicated Cleveland fans.

Well said dude. I was 10 months old when the Browns won that championship in 64. I thought maybe I caused the curse, LOL!

The Tribe is doing well this year too!

Yeah. For me the hardest loss of them all was when Jose Mesa blew the save in game 7 of that world series. In fact, the most heartbreaking thing about the loss in that world series was from games 2 to 7 they had at least a 2 run lead in all of those games, only to lose it, especially game 3 when they had the 4 run lead. The Cavs winning it all as far as I'm concerned washed away all those painful memories for me. For me at age 42, it was the perfect age for me to see Cleveland win their first championship!
