Actually you can explain that. We create wars, harm the planet and kill each other almost all the time for no reason. Animals don't do that kind of thing.

You just proved my point. We launch wars, contribute to destroying the ecosystem, and have one of, if not the highest murder rate among animals and people go "Eh" and walk away. One animal gets shot and everyone loses their minds. If you diverted that attention towards goals like the ones you mentioned, there's a better world right there.

I think you missed what I was doing there. Xenusian made an obvious statement about being able to know the opinion of those who weren't aborted but are pro-choice, so I made another obvious statement that we will never know the opinion of those who were aborted.

"Chose not to abort" would be giving birth. "Choosing to abort" is preventing the birth. Birth just happens (if there's a baby, of course), abortion does not. Thus, people choose "to abort", not "to not abort".

We define human death as the end of a heartbeat and the end of brain activity. Shouldn't "life" be defined as having both a heartbeat and brainwave activity?

At 8 weeks from conception, a baby's heartbeat can be detected by ultrasonic stethoscope. Some as early as 5 weeks.
By 9 weeks from conception, a baby is able to bend her fingers around an object in her hand. Brainwaves are also visible at 9 weeks.
By 11 to 12 weeks from conception, the baby is breathing fluid steadily and continues to do so until birth.
By 11 weeks from conception, a baby can swallow.
Between 13 and 15 weeks from conception, a baby's taste buds are present and functioning.
At 20 weeks, and perhaps as early as 16 weeks from conception, a baby is capable of hearing his mother's heartbeat and external noises like music.

I'm also pro-life but I don't see the public or media or Democrats giving up on the abortion issue, so I propose the life/death definition as a potential compromise. Besides, most women don't even know they're pregnant until 5 or 6 weeks from conception. I think it would do away with 90% of all abortions if the doctor had to prove no heartbeat and no brain activity.

I agree! I actually think requiring an ultrasound would stop a lot even if the doctor didn't have to prove life, as a woman the majority of us fall in love fast, and falling in love with our little peanuts is no different.

I all life deserves a chance. That being said, pro choice believers should get vascectomies and/or tie their tubes (good materiel for a meme?). And some animals are too endangered to be kept out of protected captivity, however, the protection part needs to illustrate their protection from stupid humans.
