Kind of off track, but the same issue. The father of good friend of mine through my teen years was captured and branded by the Nazi's. He didn't do any hard labor but he witnessed his family and many close friends getting murdered. What saved him was that he was a very good guitar player and he got to play at many parties and gala's for high ranking German officials. in between those times he was broadcasted live on the radio in German occupied Italy.

I will become a citizen of California near Sac in August. If I had been registered democrat in Oregon I would have voted for Bernie, but we went Bernie anyway. I'm registered Independent. If Republican would have voted Kasich.

No, Trump isn't Hitleresque. No comparison. He's just an egomaniacal imbecile who has no place at the head of a powerful nation. He won't become president thankfully, but even if he did he couldn't grab dictatorial power. The egomaniacal imbeciles of the GOP congressional leadership wouldn't give up their power to allow him to do so. So, despite all the intense hatred of Hillary on this site, and my own preferences for someone less obviously power-hungry, I'll be voting for her in November. The minor, evidence-lacking 'scandals' she supposedly will be indicted for (yeah, get back to me in a year and let me know how that turns out), is far less scandalous than scamming the elderly and veterans.

Trump gives her ammunition everyday, just by lipping-off unchecked. It's what got him to this point because his followers claim he 'speaks what's on his mind', but now his problem is that it's the mind of an unthinking fool and most voters will hesitate at being led by an unthinking fool. Trump might pull some southern states and a couple midwest, but the election night maps will be even more blue than with Romney or McCain.

My guess is that Hillary is very disliked, but so is Trump. And Hillary's organization & her (still much) proven positive plans & experience will win the electoral college by a very large margin. She's a known quantity & Trump is not, IMO. I'm not happy either way. It depends how they work with congress & choose Supreme Court.

And Hillary has Bubba. People remember Bubba fondly despite the surreptitious fellatio. Bill might detract from Hillary because in comparison to his charm and personality she comes off as cold trout but she also has the upside of him on the campaign trail. And she has the experience. I don't think most non-partisan (i.e., independent) voters will say "I won't vote for Clinton because she was sloppy with her non-classified e-mails and was Secretary of State when some Americans died in Libya out of no fault of her own", they'll say "Trump is an ass, I think I'll stick with the experienced lesser evil". If Hillary wins as big as she should she'll likely have a Democratic Senate to work with, and if The Donald continues to open his mouth wide enough for his brain to fall out she may very well have the House.
