Kind of off track, but the same issue. The father of good friend of mine through my teen years was captured and branded by the Nazi's. He didn't do any hard labor but he witnessed his family and many close friends getting murdered. What saved him was that he was a very good guitar player and he got to play at many parties and gala's for high ranking German officials. in between those times he was broadcasted live on the radio in German occupied Italy.

Fully agreed with what you're saying but a word of Caution. Hilter had a zero body count too before he got elected. OF course any politician can turn into a dictator even a democrat. Great Meme too.

There's a difference between "Deport" and "Murder."
I don't support the deportation plan, but likening his plans to Hitler's seems far too much like a premature conclusion.

No, Trump isn't Hitleresque. No comparison. He's just an egomaniacal imbecile who has no place at the head of a powerful nation. He won't become president thankfully, but even if he did he couldn't grab dictatorial power. The egomaniacal imbeciles of the GOP congressional leadership wouldn't give up their power to allow him to do so. So, despite all the intense hatred of Hillary on this site, and my own preferences for someone less obviously power-hungry, I'll be voting for her in November. The minor, evidence-lacking 'scandals' she supposedly will be indicted for (yeah, get back to me in a year and let me know how that turns out), is far less scandalous than scamming the elderly and veterans.

Trump gives her ammunition everyday, just by lipping-off unchecked. It's what got him to this point because his followers claim he 'speaks what's on his mind', but now his problem is that it's the mind of an unthinking fool and most voters will hesitate at being led by an unthinking fool. Trump might pull some southern states and a couple midwest, but the election night maps will be even more blue than with Romney or McCain.

My guess is that Hillary is very disliked, but so is Trump. And Hillary's organization & her (still much) proven positive plans & experience will win the electoral college by a very large margin. She's a known quantity & Trump is not, IMO. I'm not happy either way. It depends how they work with congress & choose Supreme Court.

And Hillary has Bubba. People remember Bubba fondly despite the surreptitious fellatio. Bill might detract from Hillary because in comparison to his charm and personality she comes off as cold trout but she also has the upside of him on the campaign trail. And she has the experience. I don't think most non-partisan (i.e., independent) voters will say "I won't vote for Clinton because she was sloppy with her non-classified e-mails and was Secretary of State when some Americans died in Libya out of no fault of her own", they'll say "Trump is an ass, I think I'll stick with the experienced lesser evil". If Hillary wins as big as she should she'll likely have a Democratic Senate to work with, and if The Donald continues to open his mouth wide enough for his brain to fall out she may very well have the House.

I really disliked Romney until Trump became hot stuff. I voted Straight Republican for decades, now I think they are half the problem. Therefore I'm moderate/independent...I think there are going to be more of us after this year's crop. The moderate Republicans get knocked out early. Because being moderate is oh so way worse than a "true" conservative. They've been sitting on their butts in congress for years, so I'm ready for a flip-flop. They're going to WISH they had been more moderate with the changing demographics.

But trump has ideas of Hitler, and trumps not a good choice since he had lots of bankruptcies and business failures he wouldn't be rich if his dad didn't start him off with a small loan of a million dollars
reply

2 ups, 2 replies
1. Regarding the "Nazi Ideas" - No, he doesn't. That's rhetoric by the far left.
2. Regarding failures and bankruptcies - Businesses are risky endeavors, and it's very common for one to fail - Hillary's only business is selling out US secrets. And yes, he did go bankrupt 4 times. But he's still one of the richest men alive.
3. It's true he got a lot of money to start out with, indeed, but he did something that most idiots could never manage - build a business empire. Bernie is also a trust fund kid, but hasn't worked nearly as much and sits around yelling about how greedy the rich are.

Illegal immigrants are breaking the law. Trump's going to kick out the illegals only to try and create more opportunity for Americans/Legal immigrants. I do feel like the kicking Muslims part is a bit insane, but there are a couple verses in the Koran that suggest that it may have some logic behind it. There are many verses on killing infidels, and (don't quote me on this) I'm pretty sure there's one on befriending the infidel to better strike at them or something.

First part is true.
Second part, though, is false. Kicking out illegals will help the poor by freeing up some jobs for those lucky enough to be born here or poor legal immigrants.

The truth is early on hitler stated he wanted to kill all the Jews and that concentration camps with gas chambers were a grand plan. He also stated that Germany should take over the world and was planning on invading the east as early as 1920. Just because trump is anti illegal immigration does not mean he is pro annihilation.

In Mein Kampf he stated killing a few thousand Jews would have somehow saved many mnore Germans on the fronts of WWI. It wasn't until 1941 that he went completely ape shit crazy on the Jews.

In mein kampf he talks about gassing and concentration camps and exterminating the Jews.
Dachau was opened in 1933. Hitler intended the extermination of the Jews and other "undesirables " long before 1941. The rest of Europe was somewhat anti Semitic at the time and chose to observe, until the invasions started. Then everyone got a little testy. Not because hitler was imprisoning and killing Jews, because he was taking their countries.

You didn't add that they both just say aloud in public what much of the populace is privately saying. It's about a perceived strong leader who will take care of the problem groups & focus on 'empire.' Still, Trump has not had Hitler's radical struggle (kampf) & I think he's enjoying himself too much. Now Hillary has been focused on political power her whole life, so I might think she could be a bigger threat. However, to me they're both going to be held in check by our political system, flawed as it has become.

hmmm....i would hesitate to say "much of the populace"...."some" for sure....mostly less educated, under/unemployed, etc looking for a scapegoat.....just like some pre Hitler Germans. Now....after the fact there were MANY Germans that denounced Hitler and Nazism but were "forced" into it out of fear.

Fear is a strong motivator. Trump is capitalizing on it.

Not the stupid or the shanty or even the unemployed, because generally speaking the republican of that type don't vote. It is the middle class who think they are being told their lives don't matter. Their values don't matter. Their faith doesn't matter and their hard earned money should go to those who do matter. I don't like trump. I don't like Hillary. I don't like Bernie. But at some point I'm going to have to choose the least objectionable. As of right now I think that's grumpy cat.

"Trump has killed 0" - That we know the witnesses were subjugated into silence - (The scale of the crimes the political Party Hitler was involved with wasn't fully known until even after the war. That being sad - the main person in charge of the Extermination project wasn't even Hitler it was his lackey Heinrich Himmler. - The reason they compare Trump talk to Hitler because the way he is talking and the nature of what comes out of his mouth - are alike - maybe their hair styles too but that is not really important. - Just because there has been no "reported" Deaths caused by Trump doesn't mean it hasn't happened - Poor working conditions at Trump Tower and work related accident would make him ultimately responsible in the same way Hitler was responsible for his party. - You honestly think Trump would allow that new be public knowledge or use his money to sweep it under the rug.
