Guess the twist...

I truly hate to say things that certain other troll likes persons have said but the truth is.... Original memes by less popular users are not featured quickly or in any position to get seen. I'm not talking about upvotes those must be earned by the quality of the work. The only memes I've made that get views are standard templates I made with much less effort and imagination. I have a new Gilligans Island chain waiting to be featured. I expect it to be buried lol.

Hey Nana, sorry to butt in, but I have the same issue as the vast majority of my stuff is on custom templates. Try experimenting with release times, I try never to release at night. Mid to late morning usually works out best for me but experiment. Also when doing custom, as heartbreaking as it is some of your favorite stuff just doesn't get seen, it comes with the territory. Anytime you think something is off to a slow start feel free to link it up to me and I will be glad to give it a visit!!! You do good stuff and I love originality!!!! I hope this helps :) PS: I also find releasing QUICKLY after generating helps with placement so have your tags )always use "memes" and title planned before generating.

It sure is frustrating when you spend hours with an iphone, a lousy photo edit app, and a super fat finger, creating something just 17 people see lol. I try to submit early but I've seen some originals sit 12 hours or more defeating the purpose. I still love making memes here and all you make me smile. Thanks again.

No problem, I wish I had other tricks to share with you, but it can be a crapshoot. I had one I worked on for about 3 hours, finding clipart and creating faces on a bunch of rocks, I think it got about 17 views and 1 like before sliding away into obscurity. It was disappointing, but I enjoyed making it and I guess its been seen quite bit in my ummmm"portfolio"??? Anyway that was the lesson for me, have fun making it!

I've thought of adding a featured in this amount of time comment, except I can't keep track of all of them all the time. And people probably wouldn't believe it unless the site added it for you. I think it has a lot to do with the amount of submissions on any given day. I've noticed weekends seem to always take longer.

For sure the sheer numbers have an effect. I think most who do a lot of custom submissions will agree they all get reviewed by human eyes. Keeping this in mind the best hours for release are of course daylight hours. The best way to insure that is morning submissions. I often submit around 5-6am Arizona time.

And as Mr evil said, link me up with your memes. It's even in my tagline lol. I always found it funny that it seems you're/we're punished for posting original memes. It's like saying don't be creative or we will punish you and make you wait :D

Its hard to catch them all. I'm not sure about the feature time thing because any original template I make I submit early because it takes 8 hours plus to feature. I submitted two at 8am, an original and an IMG template, the img template featured fast and my original is still waiting! Im sad I miss so many good ones like this but there is not enough hours in the day to catch them all :(

Idk I guess if you make it a public template beforehand then use it? That's what I do.
