It's primarily because the conservatives don't go to the well of vulgar words the liberals do. They called Palin a c**t, a bitch, they said Bush was retarded, They call people who oppose their views as bigots, racists, homophobes, etc. Believe me, they DO think of worse things to call them but unlike liberals they have the class to not use them.
