[image deleted]For real though, we need to discuss this because it's happening far too often that the people claiming to be homeless are not or they could have gotten a helping hand up but chose a life of begging. It's hard to imagine anyone choosing to do what would be pure humiliation to anyone else but some people have no shame. I'm going to share four first hand stories but I'll break it up.

My daughter in law went with her mom to buy 3 barrels of apples from an apple orchard. They spotted a "homeless" couple with a sign claiming stranded and hungry. They offered them a full barrel which they could ear, use for trade, sell some....at this time my daughter in law was a little girl and it was her idea so she was really excited to be giving. The woman cussed at her mom saying what do we want with that, as if their offer was an insult. She said she really cried as it really hurt her little feelings.

I was at McDonald's with my children allowing them time to enjoy the play place which was really close to the corner of a busy street where there is always one with a sign. A huge verbal bordering on physical fight broke out with major cussing. I got the gist of the beef. The Man on the corner was known by her and her male friend to have a very nice home paid by housing and a monthly Social Security check Plus Snap, now I get that this is no limo, but he is still lying to the public, he did not deny it, just told her it was none of her business and to eff off. Her reason for fighting with him was not a morality issue. She wanted her prime corner back.

I'll be the first to say that I know the media can be bought but who would pay them to twist two dateline investigations where they followed 2 seemingly severely disabled beggars in one big city and both were fakes, when confronted with cameras, still shameless.

Basically I'm chuck full of compassion and empathy, but I can't stand liars and conmen, So my question is can officers run their names & do a welfare check so if they are found to be committing willful fraud, then do something about it?? Leaving those that truly need help, those prime corners???

My last story is of my cousin, she happened to see her ex the father of her two kids holding a sign looking pitiful, she was so overwhelmed with sorrow that she invited them both to her home to discuss what she could do to help them turn their lives around. She ended up disgusted and mad at herself for bothering as she listened to them brag about where they camped for free, how the other homeless campers treated him like a king, how they got the prime begging spots and the money they got, not going to getting a home, was good.

Another time I was doing a lot of buses &walking because my license had gotten temporarily suspended. So upon reaching the bus stop in front of big lots I was not happy to see an elderly woman smoking inside the enclosed area. I hate the smell, it makes me nauseous, come to find out she was not waiting for the bus, she was keeping her friend with the sign company and proceeded to tell me that she doesn't understand why he is out there as he has a nicer home, car, and more money than she does but she won't do it. He apparently likes to take his lady friends on trips. He has many.
