Well, I started a local Libertarian chapter and folded it a year later because of all the freaks that came out of the woodwork and wanted to marginalize themselves by proposing to eliminate Social Security, eliminate any restrictions on machine guns and other whack-a-doodle stuff like that. The voters won't have it, which is why the Libertarian Party is irrelevant and always will be.

There are whack-a-doodles in every party. It's just that they're getting all the attention, which has caused the predicament described in Steamfitter602's meme.
