unless they did some computer magic behind the counter to double check the information, when I requested a copy of my Birth Certificate for a passport application I had a new copy with the information exactly as I provided on the form in about as much time as it takes my home printer to spit out a page... (obviously my submitted data matched my original form, but the rate at which i got the new copy didn't leave much room for verification, so I don't know if a change would have set off any alarms)
