I've just dealt with that kinda shit too many times. Parents not watching their kids and then want to get mad at you for not stopping their kids from doing something stupid (note: these are also usually the same idiots who jump down your throat for telling their kids what to do, when giving basic safety instructions like "no running" or "no climbing"

Oh, TRUST ME. I live in Arizona. I deal with this kinda crap about 50% of the time I go out. To the mall. To eat. To the store. To the movies. Every damn where.

I once had a lady jump down my throat for chastizing my kids in front of her kids(for screaming at the top of their lungs), because her kids were doing the exact same thing. Apparently that qualifies as saying something to her kids.
