Funny, I once had to write a paper for school as to why we should or why we shouldn't have immortality and I wrote a point similar to this. Here is an excerpt: "If they got life in prison, they would never get out" So that made this even funnier for me. Good work.

Didn't that happen in Twilight Zone

I do remember an episode where this guy was out lost on a stormy night (broken down car?) and this weird group of monks took him in. There was this weird howling noise in the castle. He found a dude locked in a cell and let him loose. Turns out it was Satan. Is that the one that you're thinking of?

No, I just looked it up, it was called "Escape Clause". A guy sold his Soul to Satan for Immortality.

All the people around and in the prison would eventually die and it would be forgotten. The bars in your cell would rot away and you could leave. BRIAN IS BACK BABY

life in prison is 80 years

a Life sentence is not the entirety of one's life, its like 25 years or so. Life without the possibility of parole is the entirety of one's life.
