So Snopes was pointing out that Minimum wage doesn't cover interns - and also 0 evidence that he pays protestors. Trump - by way of contrast - hired actors to attend his first couple of campaign events.

bernie's interns and dnc interns attended trump rallies while on the job (i.e., getting paid for their time). this was released in the wikileaks dnc dump.

They may may have been there for bona fide purposes - like collecting intelligence (what was said. What was done to counter-protestors - etc.. Some protestors were VIOLENTLY attacked as his rallies - with his encouragement and approval).
If as protestors - because not everyone has time to speak-out/or have other jobs (I doubt very much that they objected to the assignment - as they certainly did to Trump) at 10 AM on a Wednesday.

Anyway - you should study Lee Atwater - this is mild in comparison. And so we're clear - Not all counter-Trump protestors are paid (as he like to imply). Show me where to be - I'll do it for free.

the point about immigration policies being racist evidences a hypocrisy that he wants to model our policies after the scandanavian policies while acknowledging that they are inherently homogeneous in nature, making their immigrants acculturate faster leading to quicker success (speaking overall, not to the exceptions in our country who have achieved amazing results!).

Alot of our immigrants are taken from the 1% of their countries - former CIA assets and aren't the same as Sweden's Syrian refugee population. I think that Bernie just endorses Social Democracy - as opposed to their entire policy portfolio... And so he makes that clear.

There were refugees already. Not sure if their policy is good or bad. I don't really follow Swedish politics - except as they drift towards fascism.

Gutting the VA was a Republican policy - leading to "privatization" and out-sourcing (which raises costs significantly - as opposed to saving money). I merely point this out because the committee majority crafts the legislation. The chairman just runs the meetings. I'm fairly certain that Bernie decried those cuts in service.
