I've never lived in TX, but southern rock got me to transition, then Don Wms, Moe and Joe, Willie, Waylon, Merle et al hooked me. What I really miss is country music!
I was in Texas for almost 40 years, and you could find country music around the corner anywhere in the state. You still can, but you have to look a little harder.
What they play on the radio today, doesn't have the heart anymore. It all sounds like corporate outlined and edited crap. There's still a few but so many "up-and-comers" all seem to come out of one mold. I about puked a couple years ago when I heard one rap and stopped listening to the country stations here in AZ that day.
