Free people can enter into ANY kind of contract (in a common law vacuum - courts won't GENERALLY contract into SLAVERY of course....13th amendment unconscionabilyty and all...Except that they routinely hold PERSONS within such a contract, seemingly unconscious if doing so. Weird or crooked?) under the notion that they know what they Want...if not always what's Actually best for themselves. Mutual Agreement is all that is required. Lawful object and consideration being a given.

So the UPSHOT...Know the TERMS of the contract. Bad Deal. It's on YOU. Opt-out..... if you can't - it ISN'T so much A CONTRACT, but a Tyranny.

You are correct... But if said contract is pass into law and requires/forces (because it is now a lawful policy) all citizens to engage in said terms, and half or even a quarter the populous voted against the it. How is it on the people who voted against it?...
