No kidding. in 2014 they passed a law upping the top tax rate on "high income" individuals. Many businesses left the state, taking their jobs with them. For certain things like fast food, I think more automation will be in the future. For items that definitely need a human, I think those will leave the state too. For companies that service a local area and can't relocate, higher wages will mean higher prices. CA currently has a $10/hr min wage. They are talking about raising it 50%. These dumbasses don't realize you can't increase labor costs by 50% without causing inflation. I guess that's to be expected from people who graduate high school yet can't balance a checkbook.
