I meant that the petty thugs don't hurt rich people but pick on the poor around them. Ironic.

I meant that by being in prison and/or welfare, they're a drain on society's resources. I think we're saying the same thing, two different ways?

Probably. We pay higher taxes & they also continue to cause misery when out. Like by living off naive women. I hate what they do to young women & then the children continue the same pattern too often. Of course some do try & succeed to get out of that lifestyle--I know some at my church.

I think I get it. I don't think it's the 1%ers I have a hard time with. It's the 0.1%ers

And not those who do contribute in tangible ways, like investing to create jobs.

I'm very pro small & medium business & all for entrepreneurs. I think they bring innovation & make America great. But the technical skills needed are lacking & therefore we bring in more skilled immigrants.
