Trust me, we know the Bible more than you do, and that's part of the reason we don't believe in God.

You're a reasonble fellow,... with my respect always. I find (personally,.. not speaking for all Christians), that many anti-theist of christianity, seem to cherry pick verses that discredit Gods love,... such as scripture (usually) from the old testament, rather than the bible as a whole. I can't deny the wisdom I have found in the bible myself. And it also saved me from going down a wrong path. It was my own study,.. not anyone elses that helped me. If the Boble can have such a positive influence,.. and it does for well over a billion people,... isn't that a good thing?

I try my best to acknowledge the positive messages. And I do also acknowledge the fact that the positive messages have lead to many good deeds. But we musn't ignore the majority. Some people use it.

Like I said, more depressing. At least to me, it seems depressing to be an Aetheist. Even if you're correct, you would lose nothing by following Christian values. However, if you're wrong, wouldn't you have a lot to lose. I mean it seems pessimistic to wake up and (albeit subconsciously) tell yourself life is meaningless. That's how I see it anyways.

Watch GOD's Not Dead and read Isaiah 25:8-12. Hopefully that'll clear some things up.

Most of us don't believe that. We aren't sure what happens. But not all holes can be filled. In fact, we're not sure about anything, and you shouldn't either.
