My wife and I have discussions like that all the time and I'll say "Did you hear the news story about the house fire that killed a family of four" and she'll say "I heard that it was a head on collision on the freeway that killed a family of four", it's hilarious.

Not hilarious that people got killed, I just made that up as an example of the crazy conversations at our house :)

Right!? That and the sad state of what passes for "journalism" these days. Our local TV stations here get so many things wrong that I just watch them for weather and traffic in the morning before I got to work, and they still get THAT wrong!

They are in such a hurry to be the "first" to report something they don't wait to fact check anymore. I've even heard reporters say, "well we have only heard this but we are reporting it now." We will follow up with another story once the actual truth is discovered I guess lmao!

I know! And they're just reading it, not even thinking about what they're saying, so it's not just the reporters and reporteretes, but the people that get paid to write it.

Nothing can be done except announce it to the public and it could play into any parole petitions. He was acquitted and double jeopardy would not allow him to be tried again, even if he wrote a book saying he did it.

I wonder if the family can file another civil suit, I sure hope all the white people in LA don't riot over this shiznit!!!!

According to the LA Times, he could not be retried, double jeopardy, but I did read another story that said that the "case is still open", so who knows, maybe they could pin it on someone else?
