The only thing like that I know is if you comment on one of those anonymous/redditor memes your comment will get crazy views, I had one comment do 20,000 views and that's almost as good as my best meme ever lol.

agreed ... the effects of compromised systems can be most frustrating. *shrug* i figure it's the risk i take participating in a networked environment so, ultimately i have no excuse to be butthurt when it happens. it does hit hard when you lose you good creations, you worked hard for though. :( that's why i strive to always create backups! ;)

It was just the first time I had ever had 3 on the front page and first time I had ever made the top of the 7 day list is all. So it felt kinda personal at the time. We got the comments back, imgflip in fact acted rather quickly. I only lost the points on the 7 day list not out of my total points ever. I only cried for like 2 mins I swear hahaha ;)

True, I just do my own thing, I believe the rivalry goes way back but I haven't been around all that long myself.

right? i noticed that also. i meme commented on one soon after it was submitted, and it ended up getting over 300K views last i checked. my comment had over 50K views! it was arguably, kind of a sucky meme, but i had to submit it, just to see if it would pop up in the first few pages of the "hot" listing. it didn't though. :)

Yeah those guys aren't too well liked here, some rivalry or something, but people won't upvote them.

Indeed, you weren't around for the hack though, that was a bunch of crap. They deleted 3 of my memes from the front page and took over 40,000 points from me on the 7 day board by deleting comments. I don't know for sure it was them but that seems to be the general opinion.
