These are still so awesome!! Also, I don't know if it's just a typo, but I love how in chapter 5 he says: Alright, off me go! Instead of: off we go! I feel like it just adds to his character. I also love how Hiroshi just casually mentions that he lost a finger. And I just feel like him learning to carry an extra dagger was probably the most important part of his character arc. I also think it's kind of cool how you can tell a lot about Yuichi's character just by hearing his hopes and dreams! Over all, I want to apologize for you having to read all of this, and say that you have an incredible talent for writing and I want to thank you for sharing it with us!!

I've been writing a book too. i'll try to figure out how to share it soon.

I really want to make my story a manga, but my shitty drawing skills and lack of tools is making the voices in my head tell me to just take the easy way out and make it a light novel.

I like the introduction of conflict, but it feels like the character change is too sudden in Yuichi.

He's been like this since the start, like when he killed the robber in chapter 3. I'm basing him off of me so his actions are directly tied to what I would do in those situations

it's also kinda hard to understand why he wants to become king

I'll expand more on that in the next chapters, but it's mostly simple: he likes to rule, just as you saw with his position as village chief
