genuinely so many fandoms were/are like this and it hurts my brain because WHY.

Sonic the Hedgehog. Danganronpa. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney (to an extent). My Hero Academia. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (also to an extent). Literally any Roblox game; the entire Forsaken fandom IS the dark side of the fandom. Undertale then AND now. My Little Pony.

uh oh I found a dark (WORLD) side to my fandom

prime undertale fandom was dual wielding the most horrific things you would ever witness and some of the most peak content which was actually being run by some pretty scummy people :(

(the earlier episodes of glitchtale had some great fight scenes but Camilia Cuevas was a scumbag; Underverse was neat but a bunch of people there had some controversies under the wraps)

And it was still bad enough to this day. Shayy. I need not say any more about that actual hellhole. ;-;
