URM, AXHUALLY, the term is venomous, for one. For two, only a few spiders are deadly venomous. For three, if you ate a mouse, there is a chance you will get some sort of disease from it, therefore there is a chance a mouse is poisonous if not cooked.

Well, elephants are not terrified of mice specifically. They only get scared due to the jump scare of small living scurrying animals near their feet due to their bad eyesight. But they are not scared of mice in particular.

Elephants don't usually know that, though. Mice are bigger than spiders, too. Plus, they can theoretically carry disease; although, I don't know that elephants would know that either.
