Nope this is a common thing cats do to bears. There are gifs galore online for years of different cats doing this. They also bitch slap full grown alligators and chase away adult bucks and catch and kill venomous snakes but they're terrified of cucumbers.

I've used this on here years ago with caption. I've seen many like this. If you want protection from black bears when going somewhere where many live then take a house cat with you and they'll run from you. And if parks want to greatly reduce death to people by black bears then this would help there too. They're scared of little pee wee cats
