I've seen comics(besides Marvel's Thor) that depict certain members of the Viking/Norse Pantheon as Black.

New or old? Cos I've read some SJW's article saying the same. I then checked out the cartoons they referenced, and they were made the year before, jeez...
But as he says, Vikings were diverse, but not in a racial stereotypical way (unlike many tribal people in the past and now), so they gave the west a great start, cos fun fact:
Gene diversity over time helps general intelligence in a people... well, unless you mate with people who've been accepting inbreeding for generations - so especially ancient tribal people. Vikings kept to foreign shores that are generally more visited and diverse than the more isolated inlands.
Same with the European slave traders later in history. They basically waited for the tribes to serve them their own prisoners near the shores of West Africa. Western weapons made tribes very successful in that delivery. So if you're an African people who travels and conquers all over Africa instead of staying put, your intelligence and then ingenuity makes you a very successful people on your continent

It's a recent thing in the past few years with comics and remember Heimdel was portrayed by a Black actor in the Thor movies.

What the SJWs are trying to do is to prevent their narrative from being wrecked. They've always went along with Africa being the Cradle of Humanity. However more and more scientists are leaning toward the Middle East.
