We finally found a solution for all that online safety age verification BS people are currently in a f(l)ap about.
There are other ways to stop kids accessing stuff they're not supposed to. Just ask them if they get some obscure reference to 70s/80s pop music, whether they read certain rightwing newspapers, know what "ASL", "Encarta" or "Y2K" mean, or get them to find the MiniDisc players, pagers/beepers, joysticks, floppy disks and shell suits in a random image.
AI can now tick the box that says "I'm not a robot" so we'll have to come up with something better. Hopefully AI will soon work out how to find all the crosswalks, buses, motorbikes, staircases, lampposts and fire hydrants in those ridiculous CAPTCHAs because whoever invented those should be in prison. And accept/decline all those effing cookies on our behalf, which is one of the dumbest things that ever happened to the internet. (I don't want any more of your cookies, dammit. I'm fat enough as it is. I don't even really care now. We know you're tracking everything we do anyway. Just let me in the damn website ffs.)
