Treating certain people right

New York does that

As a former resident of California (I got out long before Newsom) and now a Utah resident, I would just like to thank Gov. Newsom for driving everyone out of California into Utah (and many other states). As a result the value of my house is more than double than what I paid for it.

Gov Newsom has been great for Utah's economy. Many high tech firms have relocated in Utah. The down side is Utah used to be one of the most easy states to afford to live in. Now it is getting close to California prices. There's a real housing shortage here. New apartments are going up all over the place.

I've been back to California to visit family and friends since Newsom. We left 25 years ago but it is so much more crowded than when we lived there I was a shock to hear that people are leaving.

Where it was glaring obvious is going to church in California. I belong the the religion that Utah is famous for. There was a time when the 2nd highest concentration of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I have been to church in California it's like a ghost town. Some church building have even closed. It's insane because when I lived in California the churches were always full. We had 3 separate congregations meeting at different times in just about every church building. Now there is only 1 and half or less of the people are attending. The majority of them have left the state.

Not all of the LDS people have moved to Utah but Utah has boomed in population since Newsom.

I think the state where most Californians (not necessarily LDS Californians) have moved is Texas.

No where in the US has California's weather. And no one can make the place with the best weather flee a state like a Democrat.

Now Newsom has a salary of a little over $200,000 and 95,000 in benefits and can't really support these purchases or the $117,000 annual property in Marin county raising questions about who's funding the lavish lifestyle and what they expect in return.

Now the California Fair Political Practices Commission, stacked with Newsom's appointees, hasn't investigated despite gift limit violations.

And although Newsom does have a diversified business portfolio in restaurants, wineries, etc, critical Californians, just like the California Globe, are pointing out all of this. And they see this as an elite privilege with Newsom living like royalty while California struggles, shielded by progressive cronies and questionable financial maneuvers”
