Because putting aside other things, a (I believe it's the) lead department for the CDC has been shut down, which leaves city's and towns now without federal assistance to deal with lead issues that pose health threats

RFKJ has been in office for 2 months and you've already dismissed him as a "danger to public health". Currently his record is this huge win for public health with promises to do more much of which the public has been asking for for many years. This includes research into widely used drugs that the public feels we do not know that much about.
You have judged him prematurely because you were told to by others who have a specific image of his reputation that they want you to believe. I stand by my meme and my comment.
