He was actually a pretty great teacher, despite his brutal honesty and being incredibly intimidating. Those moments aside, he was very helpful and great at explaining things in general.
I liked him a lot, mainly because he was just about the only teacher that my otherwise very rambunctious classmates completely respected and didn't even think to misbehave around. As long as you were a good student and could live up to his (very) tough, but fair standards, he was fantastic.
If I recall, he is now retired. Sometimes I feel bad for his replacement. They've sure got some big shoes to fill. Gone are the days that those classes were the only ones that just about everyone passed because they were rightfully terrified of the teacher's wrath, unless that person is somehow just as scary as he was 💀
