aparently those things have the ability to punt the pilot and wso if the computer thinks it need to save them , well thats what the RAAF said when a super hornet crew ejected on an aborted take off a few years ago , funnily i remember the total attitude to it all was more " how f**ken much is that gunna cost to repair ? " as appose to "hows the f**ken pilots doing , i mean are they at least ok ?" lol

So. You're flying along and the plane decides it has reached the threshold that has been predetermined to be unrecoverable, and BOOM! OUT YA GO!
