"Colonialism" no longer means a nation who seeks to colonize the world. That was the original meaning. What it means now is anti-Marxism and nothing else.
So if she wants to teach anti-colonialism then she needs to be honest about who she is and start off with a large portrait of Karl Marx behind her and give lectures on Marxism.
The very, very, very sad part of this is native Americans were never Marxists but they were colonialists (in the original meaning of the word). Most of them fought with other tribes trying to take their land away from them. The remaining few tribes just fought to keep the land that they probably claimed from another tribe centuries before.
My hometown...and for those who don't know...Edmonton Alberta doesn't have the pride parade since covid...I think there might be a festival. But definitely no parade holding up four city blocks downtown because you enjoy banging the same sex.
Lol
Don't care about the "Organization" or its resume...I saw my hometown province associated with both and figured I'd chime in to clear the air...so to speak.
Lmao
Well, my post never mentioned the location of the Pride organization (which I can see is government created) but I guess anyone could assume that she stayed in Alberta
I didn't catch that the event was in Alberta. I don't claim that she's a native Albertan, just repeating her own public info for credibility's sake. That her Native Studies is in Alberta just says that that's where she worked
