The joke is their was once a point in history were doctors were associated with smart people like the middle ages for example ( they didn't have proper hygiene medicine etc) and being sick was like a death sentence back in the day so being a complete doctor ment that everyone had an astronomical amount of trust thus having the experience and knowledge for what your doing to save lives or else you gonna be call out as a fraud
