Ed was making the point that anti-furries often make the mistake of mowing over furries minding their own business, rather than focusing on the worst of the worst.
Again, I don't support furries in the slightest, nor do I find their habits healthy. However, if we bludgeon each one with hatred and anger right away, telling them they're wrong rather than having a civil conversation with them to argue for yourself, then nothing productive is being done. Shutting them out is another point against us, as they'll have the right to say things like, "They don't even let us speak, those monsters!"
We have to play the long game with these people. Their lives are rooted in this stuff, and if we just tell them they're wrong with no reasonable explanation, then we're essentially leading them down a worse path than they first found themselves in.
