The road that was painted on is a PUBLIC road, and as such, should not be allowed to be used as a billboard. It is a public thoroughfare and should not have markings other than those used to define lane travel, crosswalks, or other normally used markings. They do NOT belong to any one particular special interest group.

Painting ANYTHING on the road should also be charged as vandalism!
