My mom was once at a police station when with people making a report. The cop offered them a ride home, and my mom yelled "SHOTGUN!" meaning she called the front passenger's seat. Probably not something you should yell at a police station though 😂

For the record, nothing bad happened because of that. It's more just something I like to bring up because it's a funny story lol

I have a similar story. My grandpa used to work in the navy, and whenever my mom wanted to ride passenger she couldnt say "shotgun," instead she had to say "rifle" or sometimes something like "icbm" if he was feeling funny.
