Yesterday, or Friday morning depending on when you read this, my one cat got hypoglycemic which was scary. He was tired, uninterested in food then long drawn out caterwauling then stumbling around then in a blank stare continuing to caterwaul. Horrible to see that. Corn syrup saved his life. Thankfully he had just started having neuro symptoms so no lasting damage. Back down to 6 units of insulin for him. Within 3 minutes he was alert and ate a lot but weak throughout day. After a good amount of corn syrup and large meal his blood sugar was only 121 a couple hours later at vet. Normal is between 70-107. At 50 they die or at very least have severe brain damage. I'm up at night and work then so mom woke me because she's bad in a crisis. Saw it & grabbed corn syrup. This happened before 7 am. Now I've just finished tearing up cat nip buds to mix with another brand. All 3 are stoned.:P
