I mean, I was here when it was actually humerous(2020), before Iceu, when Raydog was still around, and when who_am_i was more active(and before Andrew's sudden stupidy/siliness)
It was quite fun, there were rarely any arugements in the comments, posts in the fun stream were tolerable and actually funny, instead of what we got now. There were sometimes chains of posts for users to be on topic as well(eg: "Femists when" and "The internet is a dangerous place. The internet:" posts. I actually joined in on one and got quite popular).
Posts commonly got over 2000 upvotes in the fun stream back then, now it's less that 1500. 1800 if you're actually lucky enough. The humor on imgflip is dying, in my personal opinion. The internet is just.. loosing what's basically important to it.
The humor.
Jokes and memes come and go so fast, and get so overused they become old, so people try and come up with new things, to keep the humor of the internet alive.
At this point, there's nothing we can really do except.. go with the flow of the internet.
