I consider myself to be pretty well learned in the ways of world/character building.

Well The Traveler is a human semi-god, son of He, the God of Apocalypse and Chaos, He abandoned The Traveler at young age, and The Traveler at 19 years old had to imprison his father, and now, after 13245 years, he has to fight him again

Okay so my honest opinion is that this is a mid backstory. Being abandoned will certainly hurt the character. But a recurring theme in media is someone being trapped for thousands of years, kinda bland tbh. But I don't actually know too much about the Traveler so idk.

In the time before time, there was a being known only as the Traveler. He was a figure of immense power and mystery, with the rare ability to teleport to any location in the universe at will. Some believed that he was a semi-god, while others thought that he was an entity beyond mortal comprehension.

The Traveler was said to keep the very balance of the universe intact, holding the threads of reality together in his grasp. His powers were beyond measure, allowing him to manipulate space and time with a thought, and to see into the very heart of creation itself.

Despite his immense abilities, the Traveler's true intentions remained shrouded in mystery. Some believed that he was a being of pure chaos, using his powers to sow discord and destruction across the universe. Others thought that he was a force for good, a being who sought to protect creation from those who would do it harm.

The Traveler moved with the grace and fluidity of a god, his form shimmering and indistinct, as if he existed in a plane of existence beyond mortal comprehension. Those who encountered him felt a sense of awe and reverence, mixed with a hint of fear and uncertainty.

Over the years, the Traveler faced many enemies - powerful intergalactic warlords, greedy corporate magnates, and even other beings who coveted his powers. But he remained elusive and uncatchable, always slipping away at the last moment to continue his endless journey through the stars.

To this day, the Traveler remains a mystery, a figure of myth and legend whose true nature may never be fully understood. Some believe that he still roams the universe, seeking out new worlds and experiences. Others think that he has transcended to a higher plane of existence, leaving his mortal form behind to become one with the universe itself. But regardless of his true nature, one thing is certain - the Traveler is a being of immense power and mystery, whose very existence keeps the universe in balance.

I'm going to be very blunt on this. And please forgive. He, in my opinion, is bland and cliche. The concept of multiversal power is not new, and it often isn't well implemented into a character's importance to a story or whatnot. In general I'm not too enthusiastic about characters of this magnitude. But on the contrary i actually do have a character with an infinite power source. However, his power itself doesnt have much meaning to his story, in fact, the idea is that it can be seen as an easter egg in my other stories. I just gave him infinite power because it opens up a new realm of possibilities to make new stories.

My oc doesn't have infinite power, that story is ai generated, and not completely accurate, he is a semi god, with the power of teleportation, he can teleport anywhere with just a thought, the reality warping is a little bit of a stretch, since he can manipulate atoms by teleporting them, but reality warping is kinda off, he isn't an all mighty god, infact, he isn't the strongest, maybe in the first 10, or maybe the second, who knows, he is a mystery

Eh. I won't stop you from anything, just food for thought. But I do believe that a cast of less powerful characters would make for a lot more interesting character development. I mean, If everyone has multiversal powers than the power isn't very serious. Kind of like Dragon Ball. But you guys do you, and if I'm getting annoying or anything just tell me.
0 ups, 2y
Nah not annoying, i have a few op OCs but i have a few that are just weak

Oh ok. My apologies for the misunderstanding. But like i said I still don't have much liking for characters with that much power.
0 ups, 2y
Well or i made a strong character or i make a weak one
0 ups, 2y
Ok. I have a bunch of character ideas but I've got a bunch of different things going on so I won't really work on them that much rn.

Or you do mind.

Collector had his entire solar system destroyed and only survived because the crystal of creation hit him in the chest at that exact moment.

Since this was caused by edgyhead, collector's from other timelines still visit their old planet. But ours wasn't so lucky.

Redi just kinda... Found his staff and became a god.

He eventually became the emperor of his whole galaxy but he never really had anything tragic happen as far as I know.

Ok, I do have a character I'm working on. Not a very interesting backstory but still I think he's a cool character.

If you want, I can give you a rundown of just one of my characters. Only one.

Yes. But, and I don't mean to sound annoying or trying to flex, there are a few ways to make a much darker backstory. btw I still don't know much about the characters here, but from what I've heard the tragic backstories are pretty good

Psychological Warfare! In some movies towards the third act the villain uses their "Smart Technology Stuffs" to frame the hero, making everyone turn on who they were rooting for. Now one way to make this more interesting is playing psychological games on the hero to make him believe there's actually a chance that he's doing the wrong thing.

Inkmatas, the brave goddess of Inkstone, wasn't originally a goddess.

There isn't much known about her backstory but what we do know is that she was a slave at 9 years old, when she turned 11 she was freed by her step parents but her step parents didn't want to take care of her.

When she turned 18, she found a family she could live with, her great grandfather Xander and her gread grandmother Kinyani. They decided to take care of her. Inkmatas also had a cousin/rival named Peyton. Peyton had mastered unholy Sorcery after sinning heavily. Inkmatas battled Peyton many times, she only had won once.
