In case you think the left supports Joe Biden... There's this...

The left does support him. It's not exactly right wingers who are his primary base.

No. The Democratic Party DNCIA faithful support him. As a strict matter of political science - that's the Center-Right. Only within the corporatist media's distorted "Overton window" could they be described as "the left". Yes, they're in the otherside of the "culture war" issues ... But those are largely iconographic and symbolic - with little difference to the bottom line. As Professor John Mearsheimer says of the Democrats and Republicans, when it comes to foreign policy - "they're like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum"... And I would argue that's largely true regarding domestic/economic policy, as well. The Democrats treated Bernie Sanders and his supporters, in much the same way, that the GOP does with Ron Paul and his supporters

As a strict matter of political science, I don't think you know what "center right" means. The REPUBLICAN party is "center right". The Democrats are the "center left."

Over the past 20 years, foreign policy has been largely one issue, the "war on terrorism" (that Biden screwed up). So I agree with that. But as for domestic and economic policy, they couldn't be more different. Dems want to raise taxes, especially on "the rich" (a vague term to begin with), while Repubs want to lower it. Democrats want more healthcare and welfare spending, Reps want more military spending. Reps are pro life, Dems pro deat- I mean "choice." They are most definitely not the same, and DEFINITELY not on the same side of the compass.

Well that wasn't really true, back when I was in College in the 1990's - and the Democrats have moved consistently to the right ever since. It's like American politics has a Ratcheting system - that only moves towards the right. Back then Clinton was taking the "third way" and splitting the difference, adopting Republican issues like "Welfare Reform"... Meanwhile as Bill moved to follow the Republicans - they ran hard for the far right, to the point where Steve King, and Donald Trump could fit in easily.

The Democrats are the Center-right and the Republicans are the Right to Far Right. America has two rightist parties. And Obama wasn't lying when he said that his policies were those of a Moderate Republican, in Reagan's time. https://covertactionmagazine.com/2021/10/01/a-company-family-the-untold-history-of-obama-and-the-cia/ - and he's a cousin to Dick Cheney, as well.

$hillary/Killary Clinton - a GOLDWATER GIRL. She's been a Spook infiltrating the Democrats since the 1970's - much like her husband. https://covertactionmagazine.com/2022/01/03/there-is-absolutely-no-reason-in-the-world-to-believe-that-bill-clinton-is-a-cia-asset-except-for-all-the-evidence/ - Bill Clinton has been a Bush Intelligence asset, since the 1970's at a minimum. And for the record - Trump looks to have been acting as an asset of $hillary's, at least during the 2008 campaign - when he was pushing the "Birther" stuff, that was too racist and gross, for her to be caught saying, herself. But she was happy yo hear Trump saying it - and some of her surrogates joined in. Notice that all of them were invited to the GHWBush41 funeral - and all got a letter with instructions, and perhaps a new handler.

Part of what it seems like you're missing - is the element of KAYFABE. What became "Obamacare" was proposed by the Heritage Foundation. Are they Center-Left, too? Because Sanders offered a real left solution - Single Payer... Not "Medicare for All" - that's guaranteed to be intrusive and problematic. But they could treat it just like the Pentagon - where Congress just cuts the checks - and doesn't ask any questions. Your Doctor sends them a Bill, amd they Government pays it - "cost plus". Regardless of the final shape - $hilly and Joe both told you - no healthcare for you. Even "Medicare for All" is too extreme.

And Republicans are okay with any expense - so long as it builds weapons and the Empire. Cops and prisons forever - money's no object. And Corporate Welfare they tolerate.

Consistently to the right?

Have you seen their platform?

they've moved, but not to the right.

They may not be far-left, like Bernie, but they're certainly not on the right.
And yes, there's a lot of corruption in DC. Doesn't mean they're on the right. Plenty of Repubs are zRINOs, and only very few Dems are DINOs.

The Empire? lol

Are you unaware of the (crumbling) Global Monopolar Hegemonic Empire, whose heart, you happen to live inside? Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote a book about cementing and maintaining it in perpetuity, called "The Grand Chessboard", back in the mid to late 1990's. PNAC used that as the starting point for all that's transpired since, starting with "9/11" - and running all the way to our current proxy-war against Russia in Ukraine and Georgia.

And YES - the Democrats have moved towards the right consistently - to the point where today, they're the party of Endless Wars (for Empire), censorship and propaganda and "privatization" or elimination of Social Security and Medicare. That's why Biden whispers about those, into a microphone.

Obama's cabinet didn't come from the Weather Underground - they came from a list provided by Wall Street (Goldman Sachs). Nobody went to Prison for the economic collapse of 2007-2009 - despite Steve Mnuchin being good to go, at a minimum. As we pointed out in Occupy at the time - he bailed-out Wall Street - and foreclosed on Main Street.

I hate to break this to you... But Bernie Sanders isn't "the left" either. He's actually a centrist, anywhere else in the world. In Europe he'd be a "Social Democrat". He's on the left side of the Overton Window's frame, here in America...but he's still inside of that frame. He said things that appealed to the left - and be ame very popular. While it isn't universal - I think his betrayals of that base have led to a massive loss of support and/or relevance.

What you're perceiving as evidence of the Dems' 'leftism' - is largely "iconographic policy" and "culture war issues"... And on those they may be occasionally radical... But they take these positions because they make no fundamental difference to the ruling class or Wall Street. No abortions - or abortions on demand, into the 10th month...Wall Street doesn't care. The changes to the bottom line are going to be negligible.

Jimmy Dore and myself are both part of "the left"...neither of us are fans. Watch the clip... it's funny.
