The FH fwd swing starts with the torso/shoulders unwinding ... once torso is facing opposite court, it stops and the shoulders alone continue onwards ... this flings the hitting arm out powerfully
Start fwd swing with left arm ...shoulder/hips follow ...shift weight from back foot to front ... keep eyes on ball and steady head / spine angle thru impact
Having good success with new FH swing …ie strings face down and swoop up to vertical at impact … also try to keep right foot back (thru impact) to stay on the ball longer ..drag right foot post impact before coming around
Once Fwd Swing gets the chest facing opponent stop torso rotation and fling arm out ...and then continue torso rotation (but only as a slow braking motion)
... do not fall back ...lean into impact and shift weight forward ...even stepping forward with the right leg ... this will keep ball on the strings longer and enhance topspin (Baisa advice Jan 20, 2023)
