It probably could have, if A, Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were on different sides, and B, the Bismarck didn't get a permanent underwater time-out from what was essentially a Model T with wings. The Bismarck was a lot more accurate than the Yamato.

No, that'd be the Iowa class battleships. I say that because all four of them are currently floating museums, whereas the Bismarck and the Yamato are both currently tetanus-infested coral reefs.
