There’s only one place that absolute freedom of speech truly exists — and it’s not even on earth — it only belongs to Elon Musk sitting in the cockpit of his own spaceship 1000 miles above earth. Then he can say whatever he damn well pleases. That’s all the free speech money can buy.

In any other context, saying the wrong thing in the wrong place at the wrong time to the wrong person will get you looked at askance, berated, cancelled, assaulted, prosecuted, or quite possibly killed.

Justifiably or unjustifiably? That’s the question. Getting fired over retweeting a mildly tasteless joke from 10 years ago? Yeah that’s probably unjustified, though I also highly doubt this ridiculous example ever actually happens.

Posting detailed instructions to 8kun or some other toxic internet hellhole on how you’re going to kill the President of the United States tomorrow? Yeah then you’re probably gonna get a visit from the FBI.

Let us just be honest here, the only reason why musk is planning to go to mars is just to say anything that might get him cancelled on earth. Mars is his safe space if you get what i mean.

Yeah, i don't like it when people bring up old things to get people cancelled or fired from their job, i see it as unjustifiably.

Of course, i barely see any of that on twitter. It's just people on the internet (Anti-SJWs) who just cherry-pick tweets on twitter to make the other side of the political spectrum look flawed. They're just pushing the right-wing agenda.

Donald J Trump, and yes thee Donald trump, president trump, even called Elon Musk a bull--shit con artist for not buying twitter or not voting for him in the 2020 presidential election. I'm still waiting for Elon to respond, it will be funny.

Trump is no doubt flinging ketchup at a wall somewhere over the probable collapse of Musk’s Twitter buyout. Musk pronounced that he would reverse Trump’s account ban. Trump said he would never rejoin Twitter even if allowed back on. Of course, that’s bullshit. Trump would rejoin Twitter in a heartbeat.

Back in the day, Trump had amassed one of the largest Twitter followings ever — and following his permaban, Trump’s social media presence has never been the same. His “blog” went belly-up, his email missives to his followers lack the same reach, and his alt social media platform Truth Social is… what exactly? Still not even in the Top 5, even in the niche ecosystem of alt-right social media?

This whole Musk-Trump billionaire bromance is deeply unsettling. Think about the world’s richest man buying one of the world’s largest social media platforms with the stated intention of helping restore one of the world’s most notorious political figures (who just so happens to also be a multi-billionaire) in a bid to regain the world’s most powerful political office.

Pretty remarkable when you think about it.
This is the stuff of a classic dystopian novel — of course, the otherwise conspiracy-minded alt-right Trumpist crowd cheered this multibillionaire back-scratching the whole way.

It's like in all them Sci Fi flicks where 'the Corporation' has replaced country, albeit, not held as fondly in the heart by the plebs, just resigned to it.
We're witnessing society transform into this, and people are too concerned with getting Likes on Facebook to be concerned.
