Oh that sounds like the birds problem

Humans accelerated the rate at which the population died out. There is a link to a mating cry made by the last known surviving bird, it was a male. It was calling for a mate that would never come.

It’s only one more extinct species

A species lost in the sands of time. And someday we’ll be too. Does it bother you that humans may die like this, one person calling out for someone to be with only to find that they are truly alone?

Like a movie where a apocalypse is happening you only seem to care about that one dog that gets screen time and don’t even think about the hundreds of dogs that already died

Also fair. People really don’t care about death. That much. But this prospect of possibly the last life form on earth, calling out for someone to be with only to be alone is still scary to me. It will eventually happen, life can’t last forever. And any remaining life forms should be eliminated in the heat death of the universe. To die in that darkness is a much worse fate.
