Why would Canadians of a “freedom” mindset have any affinity for a pro-slavery treasonous movement out of U.S. history?



Because the Confederate flag doesn’t really stand for southern pride or heritage but is in fact a global symbol of racism and far-right agitation?

The Gadsden flag theoretically stands for the American Revolution, which is implicitly anti-Canada, making its pairing with the Canadian flag a bit odd.



In reality, the Gadsden flag (like the Confederate flag) simply stands for far-right agitation and may therefore be repurposed by any useful idiot in any country
