I disagree about Trump. He does not have dementia. A person may think he has some kind of other mental issues, which is fine for them to believe. But Trump knows exactly what he's doing. Whether or not one agrees with what he's doing, is up to them.
If we want to get into covid deaths, we're number one probably because we're the country most travelled to, and that's how the virus spreads. If we'd had a complete travel ban in place from the time Trump issued the travel ban from Wuhan, China, we'd have been much better off. And don't forget, Trump issued that ban shortly *after* Dr. Fauci said we had nothing to fear from this virus.
People buy the narrative that the anti-Trump, biased, media has fed them since 2015, and continues to feed them. Even president Biden does the same thing. In his one press conference, he blamed Trump for dismantling infrastructure at the border. Hell, if Trump dismantled anything it was because it wasn't needed any longer due to the fact that he had greatly mitigated the flow of illegal immigrants into the country. Biden encourages it, so there's a flood of illegal immigrants, and suddenly it's Trump's fault that Biden is putting kids in cages. Unbelievable logic.
I'm not saying you or anyone else should like Trump. Even if one has an objective source for their news and doesn't buy into what the media is saying, it's entirely plausible that an intelligent, reasonable, rational person won't like his policies or his personality. Speaking of which, his over the top personality doesn't exactly help. He's often abusive and definitely an ego-mania (like many politicians, but most hide it better, imo.) He certainly was his own worst enemy when it comes to his personality and dealings with the press. But it was real. It was all Trump.
