You consider a 221 to 211 majority in the House and a 50 to 50 *majority* in the Senate, and a highly contested, relatively close presidential election to be some kind mandate from the people, to the point that you're inspired to create a meme showing reality slapping republicans in the face?

The Democrats have a huge popular vote mandate. Republicans benefit from an obscene amount of electoral affirmative action baked into the House (gerrymandering), Senate (malapportionment, see meme), and Electoral College (singlehandedly gave Republicans 2 of their last 3 presidencies).

Dems should govern like they have the voters’ mandate, because they do.
