WHY IS HE RESISITING ARREST OTHER THAN FOR BEING GUILTY OF A CRIME?
1 up, 5y
He was nearly back in jail...With this last offense, he would have.

What's the truth?

That he has a very poor record, and that he was not innocent, clearly.

I am sorry for the lag, the video is long...It would have been longer, but due to imgflip 80 second restrictions, I could not. This angers me because I spent a long time creating this...Even so, I would rather get some truth out then none.

In case anybody has confusion about the lethality of Taser search on YouTube for "voluntary taser" or follow the link https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=voluntary+taser
I think it's fallen out of practice but for a time voluntary Taser exposure was very common in police training. The number of example videos should give a huge indication that Tasers are relatively safe incapacitating weapons, not intended to be lethal force.

I'll also add that many Tasers have only one shot in the cartridge. Even models that have a second shot cannot shoot again immediately unless the first shot didn't connect. After a connecting shot there's a period when the device is under load delivering the incapacitating shock.
An officer alone should fear for their life if attacked by an assailant with a Taser. Successful incapacitation would leave them hopelessly vulnerable and should treat that as a deadly threat. An officer with a partner nearby should not treat it as a deadly threat because there's only reasonable odds that even if one of them were incapacitated the other could act upon the now disarmed assailant.

Because it is good that he had enough self-control to see that he needed a break. That is a good thing.

I am glad that your mother and father are still bonded, but do you still feel a need (for him to spend time with you, training you up in the way you should go)?

I can send you a full link of the cop cam...This guy was calm till the last moment...

You think it is a good decision to let a drunk criminal with a tazer run around?

I think it's a good idea not to shoot a man in the back who isn't in possession of a deadly weapon. Call me soft.
2 ups, 5y
He was in possession of a deadly weapon!

I do not think you have...You seem to not know many of the things that went on in this 45 min mess. If you truly did watch it, you would see that he was completely not innocent. I am done with you. You cannot see the truth and you don't want to. You argue for no reason at all, just for there sake of it.

I don't give a shit what you think. I never argued he's innocent. I argue he shouldn't be dead.

Tazers are lethal.

There have been Tazer deaths. But let's not be two-faced about it. If the PD qualifies it as a non-lethal device and uses them on peaceful protesters and in other cases (you can find plenty of videos) then it can't turn around and say an officer had their life threatened by a Tazer. Live by the sword die by the sword. Change the policy on Tazers and we'll talk.

I don't answer to you. I don't need your permission to understand if tazers are lethal or not...They are, which is why police officers have them at their side in the first place!
0 ups, 5y
They seldom kill. They were introduced as a non-lethal option more effective than pepper spray. Death by tazers are usually due to medical complications brought on by the tazer. They were never intended to be lethal but sometimes, rarely are. Plenty of videos of officers voluntarily being shot by one. You're just making shit up.
0 ups, 5y
Some cops carry billy clubs and pepper spray. Those must be lethal too. Do you just not know how to think?

The thing with Ray shard is that the cop had to defend himself. Ray took his taser, and one shot from that could immobilize him, leaving him vulnerable to anything else. Ray could have taken his gun and shot him once he was down. This was not some "Racist white cop kills black man" scheme. This was a police officer defending himself from a man who was resisting arrest and attacking him. Not everything boils down to racism.

I would buy that narrative if the officer didn't have a partner present and part of the fracas. I think the odds of him overpowering the both of them are slim to none. Plus he was shot while obviously trying to get away.
2 ups, 5y,

Well he seemed to be able to overpower them then...Yes he was getting away, with a tazer!!!
0 ups, 5y,

People here are arguing whether or not the use of lethal force was justified. Running away with a tazer doesn't justify IMO. It's true he resisted enough to be able to flee. If he charged back at the officers who would rightly be concerned that he could then possibly commandeer one of their sidearms then yes lethal force may have been justified.

Don't lose sight that he was shot while fleeing. A cowardly unjustified use of force.
2 ups, 5y,
1 reply
Yeah, running away with a tazer doesn't, unless you are a drunk criminal and have evaded legal arrest. He was not fleeing...Use your eyes well, you can see he is shooting back at them!
0 ups, 5y
And how far can a Tazer fire? You know so much about them you tell me.
